Media Supervisor
Role:
The Media Supervisor will help set the strategic direction for our media plans and assist in selling them to our clients. They work with the media team to come up with insights and analysis that help shape the placement of media across campaigns. They are involved in the development of the digital media buy itself, as well as stewardship of other media elements, including National TV/DRTV, CTV, OLV, Display, Social, and Influencers. They also lead the charge on training and guiding planners to effectively manage assistants.
Responsibilities:
· Strong involvement in national media plan development (heavy national linear DRTV focus), applying reach/frequency approaches to build awareness, while being mindful of performance outcomes
· Lead and oversee digital campaigns with planners/buyers, run weekly pacing meetings, manage/foster relationships with media partners and help drive the overall digital strategy across multiple buying platforms and partners
· Play a leading role in all aspects of campaign management including implementation, vendor liaison, reporting and recommending optimizations to the client
· Training/support for media planners and assistant planners in billing, pacing, reporting, trafficking, analytics and research
· Help planners hone management and leaderships skills, especially in training assistants
· Oversee negotiations of buys, makegoods, added value across all campaigns
· Create insightful and visual presentations that effectively communicate to our clients
· Extract actionable insights from syndicated data sources like MRI, Comscore, Vivvix, YouGov, etc.
· Review reporting metrics to identify and recommend pivot opportunities
· Assist in the presentation of data, insights and media to our clients
· Attend and present updates at weekly client status meetings, while holding a strong rapport with the clients
Requirements:
· 3+ years of Media Planning experience required (integrated background is preferred)
· Strong mathematical abilities required in this position
· Understands how to use data for targeting
· Background of national TV/DRTV planning preferred (Advanced TV a plus)
· Strong digital background with planning and buying across CT, OLV, and Display
· Understanding of reporting across the funnel
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Detail-oriented
· 1 – 2 years managerial experience
